So the upper pouch is what will get full and trigger the full sensation. The food will then travel into the larger part of the stomach and proceed normally through the digestive tract.
The band is adjustable with saline which is injected through the port. The port will be located near the skin of the abdomen.
I won't go into much more detail about the surgery at this point. You can google all sorts of things associated with lap band surgery and find out more info if you'd like.
Pretty amazing stuff. I like the part where it looks like a much less invasive/permanent procedure when compared to the gastric bypass.
